Pearly everlasting is a non-aggressive plant of northern deciduous and coniferous forest regions. It generally needs a lot of light, and does not compete well with other plants. It prefers sandy, rocky, or somewhat acid soil. Valued for its whitish foliage and white flower heads that dry nicely.
